The “Collegio degli Ingegneri e Architetti di Milano – CIAM” (College of Engineers and Architects of Milan) is the successor of the ancient “Collegio” founded in Milan in 1563. Today it is a free and independent cultural association without any business aim, dealing with the deepening and diffusion of the culture of the engineers and architects, in all disciplines concerning the transformation of the human/environmental system, in the creative moment of the project and in the practical phases of realization and management, both in private and public sectors.

General Admixtures is a technology and value-driven provider of Chemical Admixtures and Construction Products and Services to the Cement, Concrete and Construction Industry. General Admixtures provides new technologies for Architects & Engineers to develop and realize their vision’s design, and new products, services and “system” approach for concrete producers and contractors to improve their competitive advantage. General Admixtures focuses on improving the competitive advantage of its customers through Innovation and “System” approach.


Italcementi Group, with an annual production capacity of approximately 60 million tons of cement by 46 cement plants, is the fifth largest cement producer in the world. Alongside the cement manufacturing activities, the Group combines international expertises and know-how. Italcementi, founded in 1864, started in the second half of the eighties an internationalization strategy which culminated in 1992 with the acquisition of Ciments Francais. By the second half of the nineties, the Group has re-launched the process of geographical diversification.


Founded in Milan in 1937, Mapei is today the world leader in the production of adhesives and chemical products for the building industry. At just 29 years of age, Romano Sghedoni founded Kerakoll in 1968 in Sassuolo, Modena. The company went on to become a leading manufacturer of materials and services in the applied chemical sector for building applications. The constant growth that followed, enabled the company to extend its operations into the restoration sector, where it turned its attention to tackling waterproofing problems, the deterioration of concrete and the restoration of buildings.
