BASF ITALIA

Is one of the largest market for the BASF Group worldwide, offering its expertise and international experience collaborating with Italian companies to find innovative solutions and processes with respect for people, their health and the environment. In Italy, BASF is represented by four companies and a joint venture. The broad product portfolio includes: chemicals, refining, catalysts and metals for catalysts, chemical products for agriculture, for building, for paper and for water treatment, extruded polystyrene boards, paints, polyurethanes, polymers, additives.

BUZZI UNICEM

Is an international multiregional, “heavy-side” group, focused on cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates. The company’s dedicated management has a long-term view of the business and commitment towards a sustainable development, supported by high quality assets. Buzzi Unicem pursues value creation through lasting, experienced know-how and operating efficiency of its plants.

CIAM

The “Collegio degli Ingegneri e Architetti di Milano – CIAM” (College of Engineers and Architects of Milan) is the successor of the ancient “Collegio” founded in Milan in 1563. Today it is a free and independent cultural association without any business aim, dealing with the deepening and diffusion of the culture of the engineers and architects, in all disciplines concerning the transformation of the human/environmental system, in the creative moment of the project and in the practical phases of realization and management, both in private and public sectors.

FEDERBETON

The Federation of Associations involved in the sectors of cement and reinforced concrete was formed on July 10, 2008. It is a member of Confindustria, Italy’s primary association representing manufacturing and service companies. Federbeton represents and upholds the interests of its member organizations in the relationship system with national and international institutions, thereby promoting the most favourable con-ditions for entrepreneurial activities. It is committed to designing study and research projects either alone or in coordination with the study centres of its member organizations.

GENERAL ADMIXTURES

General Admixtures is a technology and value-driven provider of Chemical Admixtures and Construction Products and Services to the Cement, Concrete and Construction Industry. General Admixtures provides new technologies for Architects & Engineers to develop and realize their vision’s design, and new products, services and “system” approach for concrete producers and contractors to improve their competitive advantage. General Admixtures focuses on improving the competitive advantage of its customers through Innovation and “System” approach.

ITALCEMENTI GROUP

Italcementi Group, with an annual production capacity of approximately 60 million tons of cement by 46 cement plants, is the fifth largest cement producer in the world. Alongside the cement manufacturing activities, the Group combines international expertises and know-how. Italcementi, founded in 1864, started in the second half of the eighties an internationalization strategy which culminated in 1992 with the acquisition of Ciments Francais. By the second half of the nineties, the Group has re-launched the process of geographical diversification.

MAPEI

Founded in Milan in 1937, Mapei is today the world leader in the production of adhesives and chemical products for the building industry. Mapei implemented its internationalisation strategy in the 1960’s and this has enabled it to be closer to the needs of regional markets and reduce transport costs to a minimum. The Group now has 82 subsidiaries with 79 production facilities in 34 different countries. Mapei has always placed a lot of emphasis on research. In fact, the company channels 5% of annual turnover into Research & Development and 70% of its research work is aimed at the development of eco-sustainable and eco-compatible products.

KERAKOLL

At just 29 years of age, Romano Sghedoni founded Kerakoll in 1968 in Sassuolo, Modena. The company went on to become a leading manufacturer of materials and services in the applied chemical sector for building applications. The constant growth that followed, enabled the company to extend its operations into the restoration sector, where it turned its attention to tackling waterproofing problems, the deterioration of concrete and the restoration of buildings. From the outset, the pillar of the Kerakoll vision has always been to make the difference through sustainable innovation.
