In a nutshell

He is a Researcher in Materials Science and Technology at the University of Bergamo, with research activities focused on the development, performance assessment and durability of innovative cementitious materials for structural and non-structural applications. His work is strongly oriented toward sustainability-driven solutions, with particular emphasis on low-carbon binders, alternative cementitious systems and long-term performance of reinforced concrete structures. He has carried out research activities in an international research environment as a Visiting Researcher at the Technical University of Munich, contributing to advanced studies on low-carbon and high-performance cementitious materials.

His research adopts a performance-based and application-oriented approach, bridging fundamental material science and engineering practice. He is extensively involved in research and development projects in close collaboration with industry, aimed at the transfer of scientific knowledge into real-scale applications and design-oriented solutions. He is a member of fib Commission 4, Task Group TG4.8 Low-carbon concrete structures, and actively contributes to the international scientific community through peer-reviewed publications, conference activities and editorial roles. Alongside research, he is engaged in teaching and supervision activities in the field of construction and materials engineering.
